Midway HS students held a rally/sendoff for their school’s Area 12 (Waco) Bowling competitors. The Panther drum line, school mascot, MiM members, and other school groups cheered the athletes as they departed for Area competition. Simple, visible, and fun for all involved! Hey, Panthers, maybe next year you can compete in the Unified bowling division, too!

Progreso HS MiM Turkey Drive – Service to others is as meaningful as anything else we do in Met in the Middle. Unified PHS MiM participants distributed eight turkeys to families in their community. Thank you, Unified Red Ants and Coach Fonseca, for thinking of your neighbors and for leading by serving!

Mari Salinas and MiM students at Lamar Bruni Vergara MS (United ISD, Laredo) invited staff from their local bookstore, Books a Million (BAM) to lead a recent MiM activity. Jessie Hernandez, BAM Manager, brought snacks and read with the Unified group. He also provided the supplies for story-related crafts that students created together. Thank you, Ms. Salinas and LBVMS MiM, for sharing MiM with your community!

The Unified Theatre class, new this year at Alamo Heights HS (San Antonio), gives new meaning to the idea of Playing Unified! On December 4 throughout the school day, the Unified cast and crew hosted several performances of Rapunzel Uncut. After performing It’s Our School, Too last year, the group chose this lighthearted take on a fairy tale as a follow-up production. Bravo!
