Athletes from Cypress Champions, Goose Creek Special Olympics, Barbers Hill Special Olympics, Deer Park Fireballs, Pasadena Special Olympics and The Wolf PACK enjoyed an afternoon of Softball Skills on Wednesday, Jan. 20.

The Houston Astros, the Astros Foundation & Community Partners in conjunction with the Houston Astros’ Urban Academy- led by Darrell Wade and his staff provided - an afternoon of Softball\Baseball skills-building on the field of Minute Maid Park. Athletes and coaches were treated to this event as part of the Astros' Caravan Week, kicking off the 2016 Season.

The moments were numerous of pure joy and excitement.  Athletes also had the opportunity to meet current Astros Jon Singleton and Marwin Gonzales.

Athletes were able to hang out in the Diamond Club, partake in the clinic, receive encouragement and take photos with their clinic leaders and current Astros.
