The International Law Enforcement Torch Run Conference hosted by Kalahari Resort in Round Rock, Texas, was a HUGE success! The conference was held on November 3-5, 2022, and included: Opening Ceremonies, Directors and Liaisons Meetings, a T-shirt Exchange, an Honors Luncheon, Silent and Live Auctions, Hall of Fame Banquets, and so much more!

The highlight of the event was the Torch Run held on Saturday afternoon, in which over 500 attendees participated in a 5K run carrying the Flame of Hope. One of the six original runners from the first-ever Torch Run held in 1981 participated in this year's Torch Run alongside his son, who is a Special Olympics athlete. The event also hosted a Guardian Games in which our athletes were able to participate and compete alongside our LETR officers in a 9-hole tournament. Groups of four competed in a variety of games and activities, including disc golf, inflatable games, basketball spot shot, corn hole, and ladder golf to promote inclusion.

Thank you to all our incredible LETR officers and Special Olympics staff for helping make the 2022 International LETR Conference one to remember! We are so grateful to all our attendees, volunteers, and sponsors for making this event a reality. The International LETR Conference will be hosted in Chicago, Illinois in 2023 and will return to Texas in San Antonio in 2024. We will see y’all then!
