Winter Games occurred on February 17-19, 2023, in the beautiful cities of Bee Cave and Lakeway, Texas. Special Olympics Texas returned for the second year and held competitions in five different sports, including Floorball, Volleyball, Powerlifting, Golf, and Cycling. We also hosted FUNdamental Sports (formally MATP) for our athletes who, due to their physical and/or developmental abilities, are working on foundational motor skills to prepare them for possible competitions in typical Special Olympics events. Throughout the weekend-long event, our athletes could enjoy attending Healthy Athletes, Opening Ceremonies, a Victory Dance, and a VIP Champions Lounge.
